About Saath

Important information about what Saath is, who can use it, and the limits of what we offer.

About Saath

Saath is an independent, volunteer-led initiative that connects adult students in India with experienced professionals for informal one-to-one career conversations. Saath is not a registered business, charity, educational institution, recruitment agency, or healthcare provider.

Age requirement

Saath is available only to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By requesting or participating in a session, you confirm that you are at least 18.

Nature of the sessions

Sessions offered through Saath are informal conversations intended to provide general career guidance, encouragement, and perspectives based on a coach’s personal experience.

They do not constitute professional educational, employment, legal, financial, medical, psychological, or mental-health advice.

Independent coaches

Coaches volunteer in their personal capacity. Their opinions are their own and do not represent their employers, professional organizations, or Saath.

Saath does not endorse or independently guarantee any coach’s qualifications, representations, advice, or conduct.

No guaranteed outcomes

Saath does not guarantee employment, internships, admissions, referrals, interviews, professional introductions, promotions, career advancement, or any other outcome.

Participants remain responsible for evaluating the information they receive and making their own decisions.

Mental-health and medical disclaimer

Saath is not a counselling, therapy, crisis-intervention, or medical service. Coaches are not participating as therapists, counsellors, doctors, or crisis responders—even if they separately possess such qualifications.

Sessions should not be used to diagnose, treat, or manage mental-health or medical conditions.

Crisis support

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, experiencing a medical emergency, or at risk of suicide or self-harm, call India’s emergency number 112 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department.

For mental-health support in India, contact the Government of India’s Tele-MANAS service at 14416 or 1800-89-14416.

Professional boundaries and conduct

Students and coaches must maintain respectful and appropriate professional boundaries. Harassment, discrimination, sexual conduct, threats, exploitation, solicitation, and requests for money are prohibited.

Saath may suspend or remove anyone whose conduct is unsafe, abusive, misleading, exploitative, or inconsistent with the purpose of the initiative.

Personal and financial safety

Participants should not share passwords, banking information, payment details, government identification numbers, intimate material, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Coaches must not request payment, investments, loans, purchases, or access to a student’s financial or online accounts.

Privacy

Saath collects information required to coordinate sessions, which may include names, email addresses, professional details, availability, and meeting information.

A student’s contact information may be shared with the selected coach solely to coordinate the requested session. Coach meeting links should be shared only with confirmed participants.

Participants must not record, photograph, transcribe, or distribute a session without the express consent of everyone involved.

Meeting safety

Sessions are conducted using third-party meeting services such as Zoom or Google Meet. Participants are also subject to the applicable service’s terms and privacy policies.

Saath is not responsible for interruptions, security issues, data practices, or other problems arising from third-party services.

Reporting concerns

If a participant experiences harassment, inappropriate behaviour, requests for money, misleading claims, or another safety concern, they should end the conversation and report the incident to Saath.

Limitation of responsibility

Participation in Saath is voluntary and at the participant’s own discretion. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Saath and its volunteers are not responsible for decisions, losses, injuries, disputes, or outcomes arising from participation in a session or reliance on information shared during it.
